I've stopped and ate lunch several times at a small store in my hometown. I've seen this gentleman a couple of times. I don't know how old he is, I have never been good at guessing. But, he is grey headed, wears a black suit and tie and drives a cadillac. He also smokes a pipe. I've conversed with him twice and he smokes a Dr. Grabow, although I have never seen this kind of grabow. Anyway, he reminds me of someone you would see back in the 50's. A true gentleman. This is the way I have seen myself at that age.

Yes, the quality of the "man" has declined in recent years. It is so sad.
That to agree with the statement "there are fewer and fewer gentleman in the world today."

Most of the Old Gentlemen I have known are no longer around. I miss shooting the bull with those old guys.

There is a pipe smoker on on youtube that I think goes by the name "oldpipepops." He reminds me of those kinds of guys from back in the day, although I have never seen a video where he wears a suit, but he is a very distinguished gentleman and is a delight to listen to and has lots of sage advice. Great guy!

I believe that there is still a decent number of gentlemen around these days, you just have to look for them.

you mostly see guys with their hats turned around backwards, sideways, pants falling off, dirty oversized tee shirts, dark sunglasses ( even inside buildings ), trying to look "bad-ass", cool, macho, and socially defiant as possible.
makes me wonder what men will look like in another 20 years.

I wear my hat backwards sometimes, but I grew up in the 90's when everyone wore their hat backwards. What I dont understand about those college guys these days is that they have pants that are tighter than their girlfriend's yet still fall off their ass. That one baffles me. Totally understand what ya mean by guys being less gentlemanly these days though. Hardly ever see a guy open a door for a girl or anything these days. People look at me weird when I open the car door for my fiance and lend her a hand getting out. I guess all those years of listening to Dean Martin and BoyzIIMen in highschool had its affect on me. It's good to hear stories of gentlemen out there today, and I second the notion that all of us here and gentlemen.
