I recently moved into a new house and the master bedroom is much larger than the old one and I had this wall that was just bare:

So I says to myself "bar and fireplace". It sounded reasonable as I'm a rational kinda guy. I spent time looking for a liquor cabinet that might fit the bill to no avail. Either nothing looked good or it was some extremely expensive antique thing. Then inspiration struck and I settled on both modern and modular.

Installed the "bar" surface first. Really it's a glass DVD player shelf. I put it at the same height as the top of my dresser which I had been keeping a few glasses and bottles on:

Next was a surface mount 1500W LED fireplace below the bar:

A quick mock-up of the liquor bottle holders that were really some wine bottle holders I found:

Always do a mock-up first because I did spread them out more before the final installation:

Another mock-up for the glass holders:

And like the bottle holders some changes were made before the final install:

Christened the new setup with my favorite, Navarre Souvenir Imperial Grande Champagne Cognac:

I couldn't be happier and I have an app on my phone that runs the fireplace:

Now I'm on the hunt for some artwork or a mirror to go above the bar and between the bottles & glasses. Perhaps something with a pipe in it?

I thought about the heat affecting things but it doesn't get hot enough to be an issue. I think it tops out around 80.

I do have some bottles that will leak if tilted down but I just won't put those there. Most bottles won't leak. Right now I have a bottle Bourbon, Scotch, Cognac, and the rum sitting on the bar since it doesn't fit the holders very well.

The whole thing cost me less than $275. $220 of it is the fireplace.
