PREFACE

I was curious as a kid. At 11 I sneaked a pipe, packed Cherry Blend, and got discouraged that

A.It didn't taste like its aroma from a tall adult

B. It wasn't cherry candy flavored

Spin the clock to 2010. Round 2. Curiosity strikes again, attempt to duplicate Plumcake using
Frogmorton, Myers rum, Mac Va #1, Carter Hall. Dismal failure. Untold other failures except the
use of Carter Hall to tame some too powerful hallmarks I wasn't ready for.
The question (finally): Who here has concocted something they deem a success, and are they
willing to share the recipe? I have unsweetened black cav, latakia, pure Va, Burleys, etc;
begging to be married.

40% Burley + 30% VA + 20% Black Cav + 10% Latakia = something I would love to try for sure!!
I mix and or layer my bowls, probably 60% of them

Recipe recorded. How about Successful spicing? Aside from a sprinkle of lat to a non-aro OTC: that always works for me. Anybody sprinkle/rub powdered perique into Va? Someone somewhere warned it's like vermouth to a dry martini.

I like Drum RYO and always have some on hand. A fav of mine is a layer of Drum then a layer of Penzance and so on till bowl is full. Another is half a bowl of Drum, then add 2 drops of mint breath drops, then fill the rest of the bowl with Drum. Another is half a bowl of Drum, then add a drop or 2 of Vanilia Extract, then fill rest of bowl with Drum. Or, a layer of Drum, then a layer of 1792 flake and so on till bowl is full.

Nothing I ever concocted involving vanilla extract ever worked. Ie: Granger+unsweetened black cav+ vanilla = Aro? NOT !
OH, and mint breath drops? You serious about that?
BTW: Disclaimers-----No animals were injured during my lab experiments (I smoke outdoors; no room note; no one is wafting collateral damage mistakes)

No legit MFR's need fret loss of revenues. Their magic endures.
