It's that time of the year. Post-Thanksgiving through the New Year time for smoking Holiday Blends.
I'm a sucker for Holiday blends.

This year I bought The Country Squire Figgy Pudding & Cordial Friends, plus Sutliff KrampusNacht 2024.

Dug into the cellar & pulled out Boswell's Christmas Cookie from 2016, KrampusNacht 2023, & an old tin of S. Gawith Christmas Mixture 2007.

Any other retailers offering Holiday Blends this year?

@JimInkjust posted a review of Watch City's Bi-Polar Express, which should go on sale in about a week. Also, Peretti will have one called Holiday 1951, which is supposed to resemble the original Yuletide blend. C&D has Golden Days of Yore. I read a blog on Tobaccopipes that this year's Krampusnacht is the same blend as this year's Cringle Flake. Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to score some Krampusnacht, but I'm ready for Cringle on Tuesday!

The Cringle Flakes were excellent (although more Christmas branded than uniquely Christmas constituted).

As for Christmas themed aromatics, the only two that I have regularly this time of year are Boswell's Christmas Cookie and C&D's Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. Both are on the short list of aromatics that I really appreciate.

North Georgia mountains.
I reach for holiday coffees from the specialty roasters and pair it with kentucky blends. This is the epitome of a great holiday/cold weather smoke.
For example, today I've been drinking on this years B&W roasters "Holiday Blend" roast and smoking Penny Farthing. Old Gowrie, Dark Birds Eye, PF, Dark Strong, Aus dem Krater, etc.
I also enjoy the McC aromatics and many of the Gawith blends for holiday smokes. The Gawith blends make for a cozy smoke during the cold season, and the slightly aromatic ones have a festive essence to them - for me anyways.
Out of tradition though, I crack a tin of Xmas cheer every year in December. Come xmas eve and the night of, I pick a special pipe and beverage and sit by the fire with my wife and enjoy.

Last year’s WCC Santa’s Sack was pretty tasty, I’ll be burning some more of that soon.
Bi-Polar Express sounds good, but I’ve found rustica gives me a metallic sensation on the tongue-shame since I love its strength.

This is my first Christmas season as a pipe smoker. My job has me traveling all over the mid-south and I've been lucky enough to find the following as old stock at brick and mortar retailers...

- 2022 Cringle Flake
- 2023 Cringle Flake
- 2021 We Three Kings

I've been on the fence about which to bust open for myself and what to turn into Christmas gifts 😅

From what I've read about Figgy Pudding, I'm genuinely sad I didn't see it before Country Squire sold out...

Just popped a tin of Cringle Flake 2024, while watching a deer stroll past a few feet away.
There’s a nice bit of sweetness to it, along with the funky tang of matured red Virginia. The tin note has a faint ketchup not much in evidence in the smoke. Still, it’s good red Virginia and flavorful. Given another 6 months to a year to meld and it could be outstanding.

Peets Coffee. But it is coffee! And darned good.

I don't generally buy Christmas tobaccos, except when Frog Morton came to town some time ago.
I get the Olympia every year - last year was so-so and the first time it let me down - tried the new offering Thanksgiving and it’s a good one.

I still have a healthy amount of 2017 McClelland - Christmas Cheer which I enjoy sparingly this time of year. Earlier in the year I got a tin of Rattray's 2022 Winter Edition (Merry Christmas), and have enjoyed several bowls of it already.

Otherwise, I'll smoke 4Noggins - Tewksbury Hobbits Weed match, or Lane 1Q. I thought about picking up some Boswell's blends like Christmas Cookie for the holiday season.

I've got some 7 year old Gawith Rum Flake that I always have a few bowls of over the holiday season. Wonderful stuff. I've also got quite a few of the Peterson and Rattray's Christmas blends from previous years that are jarred up. Always enjoy smoking those over Christmas. I love a good aromatic.
