Hmm. New tobacco has a rubber feel.

Ok, so, I went out and bought some McCelland Dark Star, and I believe it is a flake. Im thinking it is. The tobacco feels really rubbery though, like...its a really hard gum of some sort and not tobacco. Is this normal?
Can post pictures if need be.

Dark Star is like that--it's a bit different than what i am used to--but it isn't a 'bad' smoke, although i use it infrequently--

Dark Star is one of my favorites. Let it dry a little, rub it out and pack loosely. It can be a little hard to get lit until you're used to it but it's well worth the effort.
