I've been smoking tobacco pipes since July of 2024. It's January 24th of 2025 right now. I have the solution for all the "veterans" that can't figure out what to do about Mac Baren selling to STG. Buy the blends that you like now...like RIGHT NOW. It took me about thirty seconds to discover that Mac Baren HH is the one and only line that STG will not be able to reproduce accurately. So what did I do? I bought a lot of it while it's still available. BUY IT NOW! it's just that simple. I'm 41 years old and I currently have a life time supply of Mac Baren HH, tins and bulk alike. Now I'm sorted! I don't have to worry about it at all. Furthermore, YES it is true that Sir Walter smells and tastes like a saltwater vinegar bomb, that is a 100% accurate statement but all this talk about P&C being a bad company is pure rubbish. They have EXCELLENT customer service and in the event that they botch an order, there are several representatives that will bend over backwards at the drop of a hat to rectify the error and then some. P&C has ridiculously valuable discounts and I could not have amassed my supply without them. P&C is a vastly superior company to smokingpipes. Unless it pleases you to pay too much I'm sure you could agree. Getting back on topic, do you believe that Peterson blends are bad? They certainly are not, so lets all just relax. Mac Baren's HH line is what we need to concern ourselves with, nothing else. So buy it now.

Connecticut (shade leaf tobacco country)
And yes buy buy buy. Tobacco will never be more available or cheaper than it is today. I've been stockpiling pipe tobacco since 1987. I've also smoked a hell of lot of it too. Maybe have about 40 maybe 45 lbs give or take. Just found a can of embarcadero from 2020 forgot I had. Debating on opening or not. Anyway...yeah keep buying. Eventually it won't be around anymore. This is a dying hobby unfortunately.

Welcome to the forum, from Southern California.
The second reply I got was greetings from Connecticut. It must have been a coincidence. I'm from CT. This will be my first/last post so no need. (not directing at you) Unfortunately the pipe community suffers from a serious lack of ingenuity, intelligence, and literacy. Take care and enjoy the pipe!
