Here is the Irish Second I picked up for a whopping $20.00. I was really surprised at how good of condition it was - just minor clean up and polishing. I doubt if it had been smoked more than half a dozen times.
Before - there was a slight streak of paint:





From what I can tell, here is the flaw:


My kind of clean up - a couple of hours and here she is:

It looked a little plain Jane in the before picture, but polished up, it's a prize. Good job seeing through the wear.

Was this an antique store find, or a yard sale, or what? Best I've found so far is a Dr. Grabow with a wide band

at an antique store for $18, but a little too much like one I have, so I didn't buy. All the rest have been uninspired

freehands, so I passed on those. I just have to find better sources, and then keep going back. This was cigarette

country, so pipes are not so prevalent.
