Hail from Helm Hammerhand!

Hey troops. Got a little idea to keep generating some business for B&M’s that are still open. I will be posting here some things that I would be interested in buying from your local shops, if there is some way to still pick-up or deliver and then send my way (paypall or venmo style I suppose). I have been in touch with my local to see what their inventory is, so I will update this post once I hear back (I know thy have some dusty peterson’s and 4th gen. flake tins by my last check).

So, just post a comment with what you are interested in too, then myself and everyone else can see if any of our shops have it availlable and we can all help each other’s businesses together. Not sure how effective it will be with more lockdowns, but I feel owed to these small businesses to at least try it out.

Helm’s Hot Items (in order of interest):
1. Frankly, I am square-tin daft. My quest is to scour the Westmarch in search of University flakes in the square tin. However, I would be similarly interested in long-shot square tins of dunhill flake, Orlik golden sliced, or mac barens in the older-print labels (odf, latakia, etc). Aside from this, I would even take st. bruno, wessex, capstan, fresh or otherwise. If I’ve missed a square-tin brand (besides gawith or mcconnel, that is), please educate me on more of these 4-sided beauties.

2. That dusty tin that’s been sitting on the shelf/in the window/ fallen into a crack behind the counter. Aged tins or other old stuff (ex: mb mature virginia/vintage syrian if they still exist) or otherwise interesting baccy.

3. Pipes - short pokers and cherrywoods (where did the peterson outdoors pokers go?!), or classic light-stained pipes with nice grain, or other oddballs like panelled.

I know some of these are either too hard to find, or too easy to find online, but I’d rather buy from a brick and mortar. Plus, you never know what actually might be collecting dust in the shop.

- “Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red dawn. Forth Eorlingas!”

P.S.: New here. Checked the rules of course, not sure if this may be considered advertising by mods? Advice on how to phrase so not mis-posting...

We're going to lose some shops. People who had retirement in mind may take this as the cue to take the leap. Retail will be a whole new scene. The malls that were just hanging on will close. Good things may come, but it's quite a ways in the future.
