My new (to me) Wally Frank pipe is broke! I've had it less than a week... I began noticing yesterday - upon assembly - that the stem was over rotating slightly past top dead center.
This morning, I was attempting to try and improvise some sort of shim to square it back up, and the stinger snapped off flush with the stem!!!
Can it be fixed and put back into working order? Is it something I can do and on a very tight budget? ... are there replacement stems available?
This really upsets me because its a very nice pipe and smokes really good. I feel like a klutz and am beating myself up over it right now.
Any and all help would be sincerely appreciated.

I'm sorry for your loss.I don't think that will be an easy fix unfortunately. You may have to send it off to a reputable repairman. You'll get better suggestions here I'm sure.

the options plier out any bit of stinger in the pipe. And either go without a stinger or do was ssjones suggests.
In my opinion the stinger must have already been highly stressed for this to happen.
Pardon my ignorance but due to my lack of knowledge in this area, IF I were to remove the stinger, then how do I go about connecting the stem to the bowl for use? There's nothing to thread into the bowl shank to hold everything together.
I'd hate to have to lose this pipe... It is like new and IDK if this happened due to my stupidity or a material flaw/weakness. It's just really frustrating.

I don't know a ton about stingers beyond the little bit I learned here. They're not very common and a lot of people remove them. That break is so clean I am sure it's not anything you did to it. I would say that's a repair man job. There are a few here.
Yeah that would suck to lose that one it looks great. Usually the stinger isn't what holds the stem into the pipe.
