Help with tobacco

Hi all, as some of you may be aware, I live in Nwe Zealand, and I'm a newbie pipe smoker. I have a bit of a problem though, so here goes: Tobacco in NZ is virtuall unobtainable, the very limited variety that is available, is hellishly expensive. I have a brother who lives in Sacramento CA, but I'm unsure how to go about things. I am desperate to experience as many tobaccos as I can, and who knows, maybe I can start a pipe club here one day. Maybe I can, one day do something, in however small way, do something to revive somewhat, this passtime I have come to enjoy so much!!

Any ideas?

Although we do have many blends here I would still like to try out certain US only ones. The fear of outrageous customs and taxes is keeping me back. Luckily you can move stuff freely inside the EU.
