Here
I'm probably using extra steps, but I usually email pics from my phone to myself, then access them from my email on the computer.
I don't like fiddling with commands and links on my phone. I'm sure you'll get some other answer options soon.
Also, welcome to the asylum!

If you use Imgur, their iPhone app will upload photos which you can than access and plop the URL into the IMG tag. But I usually do what Jay does, or sync my phone and then upload to the site's album or to Imgur.

Cool! Ok, I may have asked this question in the past, but can anyone give me some technical info on the two Dunhill’s that are in my pics, please? What the markings mean etc?

It's way better to embed the photos in question in the post. As curl wrote:

Just make sure you get the URL of the full photo, not the thumbnail.

Oooh a very lovely looking Shell Briar from 1960. It ought to clean up very nicely!
OK, I know very little about Dunhills, but 1960 is my birth year. How can you tell it's from 1960?......might be helpful someday.

In 1955, Dunhill dropped the patent numbers and began using an underlined number 5. 1956-60 would all be dated with an underlined number as a suffix on "ENGLAND," corresponding to the number of the year. 1956 would be an underlined 6, 1957 would be an underlined 7, etc. In 1961, the underline was dropped and a full size number took its place. So, 1961 would be a number 1 after England without an underline, and the 1 would be roughly the same size as the letters in ENGLAND. :puffpipe:

Thanks Lightmybriar, underlined 0 for 1960, got it!

Now, how long did that continue without the underline? Would I expect a pipe form 1981 to say England 21?

Yep! The year suffix goes through the 1990s starting from 1960, so a 1995 would be a 35 suffix. After the millennium, they started over at 00.

Thank you guys! So, it's a 1960 Dunhill Shell Briar. I'm not actually a pipe smoker myself, so I don't know a thing about these, but I'm learning with your help. I actually picked this up in a charity shop for £2.50 which is about $3. I'm guessing its more valuable than that to someone who's in the know? Where the stem meets the bowl its a little loose, is this a problem?
