Hey there I was hoping someone could help me identify this pipe. I was told it was my great great grandfathers but I cannot find any information about it on the internet. TIAPXL_20230508_020616013.jpg

it's interesting. That brand is still around but I never knew they made such pipes. Pretty neat. If you're looking for money who knows though. The price on pipes as collectables seems to be decided by a shadowy cabal of people that have an completely esoteric criteria.

Neat pipe! These pipes of this style are showing up on the forum rapidly recently!

Did people actually smoke them?

Here's another picture, is there a chance that I could be a fake Butz Choquin? It's like nothing I have ever seen before

Unlikely a fake, porcelain Jager Phiefen were very popular in Europe at one time. They can be very collectable today.

Yes they were smoked, they were very popular with the Commissioned officers in the various European military's, and are often seen with regimental markings.

If I wasn't saving money at the moment! Not much reason to fake it. Yeah people certainly smoked these. More so before briar and cobs took over the front running position for pipe materials. And the thing is they're great pipes when actually made to smoke.
