Help fixing a cracked meer shank

I pushed a little too hard trying to get the tenon into the shank the other day and noticed that it cracked a bit. I’ve heard about some people using epoxy but what other methods can I take to repair this?

That looks like nothing to me. I would wait for other to concur with me on this but that looks like the kind of cracks one notices in their meers after a few smokes. Mine has several like that and when I dropped it on concrete, guess what broke? The stem. Rest of the things fine and it's got little hair line fractures that I think the pipe came with.
Before checking off my advice as sound remember I've only had one meer and it took a long time for me to really take a shine to it.

It’s actually quite deep, it’s noticeable through the entire shank down to the insert. However I think I’ll just keep and eye on it

Mix egg whites and chalk dust together to form a paste. Press the paste into the crack and allow it to dry.

It was a similar (though more advanced) crack which led me to join this forum for advice.

At this size, it was already interfering with airflow. Basically doubled in size the next time I removed and reinserted the stem.

At that point I shipped it off for repairs (some sort of sealant and a band to reinforce) which set me back about $20, $25.

Worked fine ever since, although the tenon is no longer removable and I'm sure someday enough grime will build up the groove there that the pipe will explode into a thousand pieces.

Silver band works wonders. I have many pipes with that addition to the shank.
