Yes, I know this pipe was made (or commissioned?) by a Eduardo Felegel, but there is little info out there about him or his pipe making background. I was hoping someone here might have some additional info. I fetched this for my personal collection. I restored it just this morning and have not smoked it yet. It is an oddball for sure, and I love oddballs. Modeled after a cue ball? It has a threaded Meerschaum bowl. I do not know what the stummel is made of... The stem is amber and has an orific bit.

Here's what I have discovered on the web: an online auction house (not eBay) sold an Eduardo Flegel Milano Meer, describing it as late 1800s-early 1900. Apparently, there was a German explorer named Eduard Robert Flegel (13 October 1855 – 11 September 1886). I deduce this could be Eduardo's father... That's all I found. Nothing on pipephil.eu, Pipedia, Reborn, etc. You all know I nerd out on this stuff! Hoping someone has more info...

This pipe continues to be one of my favorites. I am embarrassed to say I misspelled it's namesake. Here's the correction:

"Edoardo Flegel Milano". Purportedly, Edoardo Flegel of Milan.

I also never answered @condorlover1's question. The base is oxblood meerschaum. The stem is amber.

Wow what a pipe HP! I know nothing about it other than it might be the finest pipe I have ever seen. Well done Eduardo.
