Hello,
Smoker living in the UK. Started smoking a pipe around 10 years ago as a joke at a poker night but it grew on me and gradually became more serious. I mostly like English and VaPers and especially enjoyed blending with whole leaf tobacco when you could get it here. I smoke a lot less than I used to as I have a young family but still love it when the opportunity arises and like to keep up with what is happening in the community

Hello and welcome from S.W Michigan. We all have different ways we where drawn to pipe smoking. With a new young family a calming pipe every now and then might be a good idea. Especially when you have to ponder why the kids "tryed to feed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to thr dvd player AGAIN"

When my kids were young, smoking the pipe presented a convenient excuse to be out in the shed fixing things or away in the garden- sitting in one of my many cogitation locations. After a while, the kids would venture out to locate me. We were able spent time together on my terms. We became east together in a uniquely male modality.

That, by the way is how my son learned about urinating man style- preferable out of doors and casually standing and speaking over the shoulder. Good times- those.
