Hello all....

I would like to introduce myself, I am a retired old reprobate from London UK.

I first smoked a pipe in 1970 and have continued right up to the present date.

When I first started there was three fine tobacconists within walking distance from where I then lived, now I only know of three in the whole London area....in fact I don't actually know another pipe smoker.
Fot those of You that are from the USA.. I first visited in the 1980s and discovered Captain Black which I really like. Am a bit of an AMERICANA collector ...old percussion long rifles..old colts....Oh an my baby my deucecoupe!! spent years trying to buy one.
Anyway's many thanks for reading....and I hope to get to know You.

John

Welcome. I had the pleasure of visiting London a few times. On my first trip I was looking for a local tobacconist and could only find one small shop in Carnaby Street. The owner was probably in his 70's and he told me that shops like his were disappearing from the London landscape. Truly sad since I always considered England to be a pipe smoking country.

Enjoy your time here and keep us posted about what you are doing.

Greetings John, Welcome to the forum! You first smoked a pipe in the year I was born so you might have a few years on me :D My favorite English thing is my Triumph motorcycle. I really enjoy riding it when the air cools down in the Autumn season.
