I picked up pipe smoking recently coming from cigars. Great forum with a lot of good advice, and knowledge. I wish I would have found it sooner since I hit a lot of the pitfalls that new pipe smokers will do.

At any rate I'm a police detective with about eight years left on the job. A firearms instructor and journeyman gunsmith. I'm really enjoying this new hobby of pipes! So much so that I have neglected my other hobbies (firearms, ATVs, etc.)

I have lurked for a while and may not post much. Glad this venue is here.
