I have been away from pipe smoking since 2011. I was sad to hear that McClellans pipe tobacco company has closed their doors three years ago ;( All of the Frog Morton blends were my absolute favorites when I smoked back in the day. They were quite flavorful with a low nicotine content. I will be on the hunt to find a replacement or low Nic alternative for my Frog Morton’s blend! Being a new pipe smoker, I am very grateful to be a part of this pipe smoking community and will enjoy learning from my fellow Briar Brothers who can assist me on my pipe smoking journey!

Welcome from the SF Bay Area! I just recently finished a tin of GL Pease Oddysey, which I thought shared some of the darker stoved VA sweetness of some McC Latakia blends. Maybe not a replacement, but an excellent blend worth checking out on its own merits at the least. I think the Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel was an attempt to fill the void left by Frog's Cellar, but I have not tried it, so I can't compare it to the Cellar, which I liked.

Hey, from central N.C. My wife moved down here from Long Island, Ridge near Riverhead and Brookhaven. She was a food writer and reporter for Newsday for decades. I spent some time commuting there 2007 to 2010. We had a great time tooling around Long Island and NYC.
