I’ve been an off and on pipe smoker for 55 years. My first decent pipe was a Lord Pearl Billiard pipe sold to me when I was 18 by my friend whose mother owned A Garfinkel Tobacconist in downtown Washington DC. He started me with a Scottish blend. I still have that pipe. I didn’t have time to smoke in medical school or residency, but in the USAF took up cigars. In the 80’s I returned to pipes and smoked all the original Dunhill blends as well as Balkan Sobrani, light and dark. I then stopped but restarted in the early 2000’s. My favorite was Esoterica Penzance that was readily available back then. I still have some 50 gram tins with much age on them, but I’ve enjoyed English and Balkan blends. I even smoke straight latakia on occasion. I have many pipes of all shapes from Dunhills to Castello’s to Radice’s To meerschaum’s to cobs. I’ve recently purchased artisan pipes from Jay Mouton and Simon in the UK. I’ve really enjoyed the YTPC fellowship, but I dont have time to make video’s so I just lurk.
