An Irishman living in lovely Chicago suburbs!

Been in the hobby for many a year - frequenter of Iwan Ries and lover of all things tobacco related.

Recently got my entire jarred collection out and wanting to rediscover this great hobby.

Been 2 years since I've been involved - sad to see McClelland gone, lots of Russ' blends out of production, Dunhill is now Peterson and some other oddities. I dare not ask about Esoterica and all the hubub about Penzance et al.

Hello fellow comrade of the People’s Republic of Illinois ? I’m out in the Western Burbs.
Got my start back in ‘91 when I was going to Loyola Watertower campus. Would venture down to IRC at least 3 times a week and gab with Chuck and the crew.
Perusing the drawers of Estates was my “porn”. I’d ogle the heck out of ‘em.?
And the guys there taught me a ton about proper piping. Don’t make it down there nearly often enough anymore as I pretty much avoid the city like the plague.
