Hey All,
When placing my online tobacco order today, I noticed that Samuel Gawith have released a new limited edition to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee this year (60 years as Queen). I have a couple of tins on order as I like the sound of the description "a blend of Virginias and Black Cavendish with the "fizz" of champagne".
I wondered if anyone else had tried it and if so, what they thought?
Best wishes

On a side note... even with shipping included the price of a tin is about the same as if I purchased a tin here in NY state!! and they still want to raise the tax here!!! But that's a story for another thread....

I got some the other week and it is a pleasant Virginia blend,I was curious about the "champagne fizz",didn't get a "fizz" fom it but very pleasant nevertheless.Would be interested to hear your views Withnail as I'm hopeless at describing stuff.

Morlader - Thanks for the feedback on the new blend, with a bit of luck it will be here tomorrow as they have already dispatched my order. I'll let you know what I think once I've sampled a couple of bowls.
Rickpal14 - Wow, I knew that the tobacco tax in NY State was high, but that is ridiculous! I hope you enjoy the blend when it arrives.
One other note about this blend. They have designed three different tin lids, which is clever as some people will want to put at least one of each design away as a reminder of the jubilee. Clever bit of marketing, although I'm more interested in what's insidethe tin!!
Cheers
