What is everyone doing to celebrate our day this year?

I'm going to smoke a bowl from a tin of 25 year old Presbyterian in a 1955 Dunhill Root Briar...

That seemed fitting to me.

Usually I only take one pipe to work with me, but for IPSD I thought I'd bring 3 (including my rarely smoked meerschaum cutty), so I've enjoyed almost 3 smokes in different pipes throughout the day

I think I'll have two pipes today: one on my lunch, and one this evening. I want to enjoy a couple of the blends that I don't usually reach for. Maybe some that are a little on the stronger side. I haven't decided yet!

I will shoot for 6 pipes, but as always, it will probably be 10. Sooo, not doing anything different from most other days.

I happen to have the day off, so I'll be smoking a few different pipes while relaxing and watching some shows or movies, playing guitar, and well whatever else I may decide on. First smoke today is in my old trusty Nording Signature I purchased in 2013 I recently posted in the "What Are You Smoking" thread. Happy IPSD everyone!

Welp, if you're doing it with a '55, I suppose my celebratory bowl will be with my own oldest pipe, my 1958 Dunhill root briar Canadian.

Making my rounds of pipe & tobacco shops. First up, The Tinder Box in Dublin. Next will be Pipes and Pleasures on the east side, then Barclay’s on OSU campus, and will finish at Governer’s in Westerville.

I'll probably smoke my favorite smoke in my favorite pipe. If it were warmer I'd plan for more but my smoke habits hibernate in the chilly months.

My Daughter and I played hooky and made a run up to Sam Rayburn, sad to say we only caught two. I caught this 13lb 4oz'er
Not to be out done by a senior citizen, an hour and a half and three spots later she caught this 14lb 2oz'er.

Just received my first Wilke blend -- the 515 double-shot. I think this will be my first smoke of the day today. Debating between my Vauen Auenland Eron churchwarden (like muttnchop piper) or maybe my Savinelli 606 blue alligator bent billiard (my first pipe).

I had a disappointing IPSD today. I made the rounds of the local B&Ms today. I started at a Tinder Box, which is a great shop. I then went to Pipes & Pleasures where our old pipe club used to meet. They don’t carry any tinned blends anymore and had very few house blends, mostly aromatics. They used to carry a bunch of tins and estate pipes. Now they only had a few of Roswitha’s pipes. Barclay’s was next. They used to have a huge selection of house blends. The tobacco station is gone. Just a few available. If you walked in, you wouldn’t even known it was a tobacco shop. To avoid further disappointment, I decided not to even go to Governer’s. I guess I’ll just stick to Tinder Box from now on.

Since it is in fact IPSD, the first pipe worthy of a pic today is the Sabina Santos straight bamboo, which she says is an apple, and I say is a brandy, and I bought it, so it's a brandy. Eight State Burley was in the bowl.

Pipes & Pleasures on East Main St? That was a great shop in days past. So sorry to read that.
