My Dear Wife of 41 years, German Shepherd-Minni, rescue Kitty-Taci & I watching, "Topper Returns," this Halloween night. Puffing C&D, "Scarecrow," in a recent Jess C. estate pipe restemmed by Adam at SP and grilling a sirloin steak while sipping whatever single malt Dear Better Half poured me LOL :). Kudos to Shane at SP for helping along the pipe puffing/sipping journey!
A kindly, "Boo," to one and all

I hope everyone had a good Halloween that was fun and safe. Our family survived the ghosties and ghoulies. It gets harder every year to hide under the coffee table for protection.

We only got about 20 kids and 5 teenagers. I thought on a nice night like this there would have been twice as many.
Not one trick or treater showed up this year, same as last year. In the past there would be car loads on my street. Looks like Halloween is going down the tubes in my area. That would be a shame because I always enjoyed seeing the little ones dressed up in their costumes and seeing the look on their faces when I put candy in the bag.

There was much debate about whether kids would trick or treat Saturday night or Sunday in my town. Overwhelmingly, everyone wanted it to be on the actual day of Halloween, and the city agreed. Guess what, kids showed up for both nights, ha ha. Some even did both nights. So, Saturday, everyone got chocolate bars, and last night all we had left was butterscotches, and I'm not even sure how old those butterscotches were. I've had enough Halloween for one year. Glad it's over.

We had only two groups of kids, a pair of them, and then a group of five, all of appropriate trick'or'treat age. I guess we brought in the pumpkin and turned off the porch light before the desultory teenagers showed up, or perhaps they skipped this year. Not many neighbors were open for business. So now we have a large lot of cavity fuel candy.

We had a great night. My daughter loved giving out candy.

We had a ton of people. I had 10 cases of soda on ice and 10 large bags of candy. We went through 8 cases of soda and all of the candy. We even had a line of about 15 kids at one point.

Along with the kids stuff, our neighbor a few houses down set up an "adult" table and gave out jello shots.

I'd give the costume of the night award to one of the few kids that made their own costume which was a cardboard box he made into an "Automatic Candy Machine". He even cut a hole and put "Insert Candy Here" above it and put his bucket inside below the opening.
