Happy 100th Birthday, William Conrad!

As I've been a Conrad fan for most of my life, and I own two of his Charatan pipes, I thought I mention that great pipe smoker's birthday is today.

I've been a fan of William Conrad since I was a kid, listening to "Gunsmoke" on the radio, in the 1950s. His thousands of radio, TV, and movie roles, as actor and voice talent, are legendary. Among my favorites was his deadly serious and uproariously funny work as the "Rocky and Bullwinkle" narrator.
