The camp chairs make my back hurt. Since I love to set in the sun that comes into my Southerly facing garage, I've invested in a "polywood" rocker.

Nice chair. I don't set down much during the day, so we just have metal bistro chairs on our deck. They aren't very comfortable for long sits, but we sorta like it that way.

I like the old time wooden chairs, but I have to admit, "polywood" has the advantage of surviving weather much better than wood. I have to repair my indoor rocker which caved under my moderate weight one day at lunch. Wood screws and "L" fittings should do the job, if I'll do the job.
Oooo, I'd like to find some polywood plastic handles to use on my wheelbarrow. I get so tired of replacing those every couple of years.
I have a nice and substantial one on the deck made from recycled plastic milk cartons.
Here's a good tip: if you find at some point your rear end hurts from the angle of the seat or whatever, understand that if you toss a pillow or pad on there that has you sitting even a little bit higher, your center of gravity has shifted! Don't flop down and rock back with the same motion you used forever --- you and the chair will be horizontal and your wife will be laughing and your dog will be very concerned! My descent was like it was in slow motion, lol, not a darn thing I could do.

I built andirondack chairs for our sitting area up front. The wood hurts after awhile so we put outdoor cushions on them lol.
Those chairs feel good for a short time. Sat in some after a hike in Cataloochee once.
I got my eye on a nice set of those recycled milk jug chairs. Made by the Amish in my area I guess. Big money but look like wood and uv resistant and weatherproof.
They weren’t cheap. I got mine through someone local, but they shipped from Minnesota un-assembled. Easy to put together. They are definitely solid. Only thing they don’t stand up to is a dog chewing on a corner, lol. Here’s a pic of most of ours. They get stored below in winter so we can push the snow off the deck.
I have a couple of those same polywood rockers. I love them... and like others have said, they are weather proof to boot!
I just really like rockers with proper cushioning.

I had a "hand me down" rocking chair from a grandad. Lots of memories of him sitting on the back porch and instructing me, obliquely, on how a grown man should conduct himself. Rocking chairs are great at any age!
