I was hoping to find out if anyone here in the USA has ordered from Haddocks Pipeshop.

They have a particular pipe I am wanting, but have never ordered from overseas.

Just looking for some feedback, how your experience went not being a native speaker and any other advice or concerns.

Also wondering how fees and duties/taxes work also.

Thanks so much..

M

I haven't ordered from Haddock's, but I've placed several orders from overseas. I've never had any duties or fees charged. You'll want to check if the pipe is priced with VAT included or not. It's basically their version of a sales tax, but those of us outside the EU are exempt.

After they ship the pipe, it will automatically go through customs here in the U.S. and then get passed on through the normal USPS delivery system. It depends on the service I'm sure but in my experience it takes about 10-14 days to receive the item. Obviously there may be some delays currently. I actually have a pipe coming from England right now.

I've never had any issues and the combination of superior pricing and selection for some pipes can make buying overseas pretty attractive.

There would not be any problem to order from U.S ,yet Dutch are famous for that 99% of them speak and write fluent English, were here in Europe are the ones who are to face custom taxes&Vat when ordering from outside of the EU region, and rumors are that starting from 2021 ALL commercial parcels, regardless of their value are subject to added sales taxes and duties(if applicable) once they enter the EU region
