I was welcomed into his home by he and his wife with open arms . He made me feel as though we had known each other for years . I brought about 55 pipes to show to him , and we spreaded them out on his table . He was quite familiar with all of my old ,inherited estates , and shared quite a few pipe stories with me . Next we went into his Pipe smoking room , and I almost fainted at the few hundred beautiful pipes he has collected through the years . I would love to tell you about all of them , but it would be easier to name the ones he didnt have . After he showed me all of his beauties , he showed me some plates he had layed out with different tobaccos for me to try . I tried some different flakes , Dunhill's , Boswell's , and some of his mixes as well . That Boswell , and the Erinmore flake , though quite different , was great . He loaded me a bowl of night cap , witch I thought was ok , untill I tried it mixed with Carter Hall and it was even better . I loved this Stanwell horn he loaded with 3 star blue mixed with Dunhill my mixture 965 ( I think lol ) . I fell in love with it actually ! He claimed that he had not smoked it much , because he loves his pipes BIG ! So I offered a trade , and he agreed to trade for a pre republic peterson bulldog . He really like a Big Grenci hanmade I had , so I offered to make another trade . I traded for one of hid Savinelli Estella's . I really loved the shape and draw of this pipe . He gave me a couple , I gave him a couple , and we just kept talking . This was one of the most relaxing days I had in a while , and I cant wait to do it again . When it was time to leave , he walked me out and stated ; Now you know where im at , come back so we can do it again sometimes . Here are two of the pipes I aquired from him in trade ::
