I had a couple of my cousins, Zach and Chris, over tonight to hang out. We hung out in the man cave upstairs for a while, just talking and playing guitars. While we were up there, they were studying my pipes and tobacco collection. One of them (Chris) started opening jars and smelling them. He was attracted to the aros and burleys, so I asked if he wanted to smoke a bowl. He asked if he could pick a pipe to smoke, and I said yes of course. I told him which pipes were in the aro section and let him pick. He ended up picking a Savinelli "614KS" Roma Lucite, to which I said "good choice". My cousin Zach wasn't interested in the pipes, but I had a couple of cigars laying around, and he picked one of those.
So, off to the basement we went! We got out the card table ( an old desk) and some chairs, fired up the space heater, brought out some cards and beer, and had a great time!
I'm usually stuck smoking in the basement by myself, so it was a real treat to have a guys night, smoking pipes and cigars with company!
By the way, the tobacco Chris ended up picking was Scotty's Butternut Burley, and he loved it as well as the pipe!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
