Well baron, i went with Peter Stokkebye Balkan Supreme!!! I was looking for something like the Larry's i tried only sweeter. I'll let you know what it's all about though. I had 25 to spend on tobacco for the month and got 8oz of it for 22 and some change shipped. At that price you really can't go wrong. Actually Baron, i ran with a suggestion you gave me of one of the balkans you suggestion. I couldn't get Sobranie Balkan because it was sold out. But reviews of the Balkan Supreme were 4 stars for the most part with many references to Sobranie Balkan. So i guess I will see!!

I've never heard anything bad about the Stokkebye blends so it should be good!

When baronsamedi let everyone know about the sale on 8 oz tins of H&H BLENDS, I bought some Obsidian, among others. I've smoked a couple bowls now and can say this :

- appearance : all black (of course) pieces of various sizes a tobacco, some look like broken flake

- tin note : sweet but almost ketchupy like a very mild version of a McClelland blend that smells like that

- smokes very mild but the perique kicks in once and awhile - quite nicely but I like perique so...

- nice billowy smoke and no bite but I smoke very gently
I like it but it is not the tobacco I reach for first. Hope this helps, morton

I got a sample of Obsidian on one of my orders awhile back. I love almost every H&H I've tried but this one really wasn't for me. I need to try it one more before I pass final judgement, but I found it to be fairly on dimensional and I had hell keeping it lit. Maybe I was having an off day, who knows?

Very nice site. I bet your proud!!! Thanks for the advice friends!! I'll post about the Balkan Supreme. Probably send out samples to those who want some!!! Thats what this is all about... Right???? People have been very kind to me, so it will be a chance for me to give back ::
