I got this also this weekend at an antique shop. It is clearly marked Guild on the left side of shank. I sent pictures to John Fordham of FL who signs his Guild but he says this is not his pipe, he also marks his on the bottom of the bowl unless the shape prohibits that.
So, can anyone help me ID this pipe? Maybe a hobbyist hand made?
There are sanding marks evident and the bottom of the bowl you can see that the forward leading edge is not parallel to the rear, or perpendicular the sides. Better work than I can do but not high achievement in my opinion. Yet this is a neat looking pipe so I bought it. Unsmoked.
