Hello folks. I've been lurking in your forums for quite some time, and finally decided to worm out of the woodwork. I am recently returned to the pipe hobby; having moved from pipe smoking to cigarettes in the mid-90s, and quitting tobacco outright in 2006.
I missed the briar. So I've come back as a collector and restoration hobbyist. I probably smoke one bowl, or so, a month. But I do suffer from PAD and more specifically EPAD as I am enjoying learning how to restore estate pipes.
I just purchased a bench grinder to retro-fit as a buffing station, and have been enjoying learning the ins and outs of SandA treatments and retorts.
Anyway, I look forward to learning from you all as I play around with restoration. Project posts to come.
Pat

Welcome aboard, nice to see a local Durham guy on the boards! If you're interested I'm trying to get a pipe club started up for the spring and a few of us are getting together at Victory Cigars in Oshawa for a Pipe Night on the 20th of February to see who may be interested.

Thanks for the welcome folks.
@ brdavidson - unfortunately the meet-up at Victory Cigars is a no go for me this month, as I'll be out of town for work. but we'll connect at one of their gatherings of pipe-folk down the road I'm sure.
