I'm a relatively new pipe smoker. I smoked a pipe a couple times when I was college, but got seriously into the hobby a little over a year ago.
I have had jobs that require a lot of focus, so I find that I'm drawn to hobbies that require that same focus, whether it be bbq, coffee, or pipe smoking. I don't have any relatives that ever smoked a pipe, so I don't know where the inclination to smoke one came from.
I've restored a few old pipes, and would like to do more. I currently really enjoy smoking English blends, with my favorite being G L Pease "Westminster." I've been slowly building a "cellar" and I'm very interested in the potential of aged tobacco. I've got about a dozen tins of Virginia's hopefully getting good and aged. For now, I'm enjoying trying new tobaccos and trying not to buy a million pipes.
