Hello, I just started smoking a pipe 2 months ago. I am still trying to figure out what pipes I like as well as what blends I like. I currently have one cob and one briar. I will say that after the third bowel in the briar, I am starting to like the way it smokes over the cob.

Welcome from central N.C. I'd buy blends in small quantities for a year or two, even if you like something a lot. Your taste will change. Anything you don't like, jar and try in a year or two; you may like it quite well. Try different genres -- English, Virginia, burley, aromatic, etc. Rotate your two pipes to let them dry.
