Good day all,
About 25 years ago I was on a train in Switzerland when I saw a fellow passenger enjoying a pipe. When I arrived in Lugano, I found the nearest pipe/tobacco store and purchased my first pipe and 3 oz of tobacco. Sadly, after a few half-hearted attempts to use the pipe, it was packed away for over 20 years. While doing family research, I noticed that several family members of mine were smoking pipes in old photos. This prompted me to give it another try. I found my old pipe, dusted it off, watched a couple of videos on how to smoke properly and was hooked.
I reside in Bermuda but spend a lot of time visiting family in the USA where the prices and variety of pipe tobacco are wonderful.
My profile photo is of my grandfather in 1939 during a whaling expedition in the Antarctic.
