I'm going to take a vacation to Greece the first of May. Wondering if anyone has any tips for what to look for as far as pipes or tobacco. :puffy:
Middle of May I leave for a job on an island in northern Norway and will be isolated for two weeks every month building a dam. Nows my only time to take a short vacation! Would like to take something pipe related home with me but don't know whats available there.

I would think that in that area of the world you should be able to find some nice meers and an interesting array of tobaccos. I believe that Greece is using the Euro so be mindful of the exchange rate. Still, there ought to be some bargains.

I'm back and happy to say I found a pipe shop in downtown Rhodes. Bought a Greek hand made pipe and it was A LOT cheaper than the artisan non greek pipes for sale. Made with greek briar and the guy that owns the shop is very nice. when my gal sends me the photos from her camera I will post pics and give the address to where the tobacco shop is located.

Hey B,

Where was the store exactly, in the "new" city, by the shopping area or inside the walled part of town? Having been there 3 times, I am trying to to figure out how I missed it :(

As your walking to the main bus stop in the new city. You see the cigar shop sign outside (Tobaco Club), follow it into the alley and it is right there. let me look at address.. ok, got it here on card. Wait. It's in Greek :? phone number is:
