In 1984 I started working with a fellow named George. We worked together for ten years. We became close friends. When we retired he stayed up north, and I moved south. We still exchange emails, and sometimes we chat online.Once in a while by phone.I was deeply sadden a few months when he told that he was taking treatments for cancer.George called me tonight and told me that the cancer is gone and he's almost finished with the treatments. The doc says that at least for now he's ok..Wonderful news.Tonight is a special nite.

That is great news.

As a counter point to your good news; my best friend's sister in law, whom I have known for years and considered a good friend, lost her battle with liver cancer on Friday.

So, I can and do share your feelings for your most fortunate friend.

Congratulations George!

Glad to hear he beat it also, I got thru mine with three slice and dice operations from the doctors. I feel good now, other than the back being fused, but it is getting better every day also.

That is super freakin' awesome and in my opinion, it is a perfect demonstration of the power of positive thinking. Seriously.
If you think you are going to die, you will.
If you think you are going to kick ass, you will!
Congratulations to George!

3 of the hardest words to hear "You Have Cancer"! Can rip your heart and will right out.

Always uplifting to hear of another triumph against the beast and, without being maudlin, a prayer for those not so lucky.
