I thought it might be fun to see pics of y'alls local B&M's, and maybe hear a story about it.

Here's mine, Williams Tobacco Shop here in Cleveland TN. Not a very big store, but well stocked for it's size. Melvin (the owner) has several large humidors, with lots of cigars, and quite a few house blends of pipe tobacco (most of which I've tried and liked). He doesn't have a HUGE selection of pipes per say, but for the size of the shop it's decent. I'd say he has around 300 pipes in stock at any given time (+ or - 50 or so) with most everything from $20 Medicos to pipes in the $400 range.

Melvin is a great guy and has came to be a good friend over the years. I'm usually in there bugging him at least once a week for at least half an hour or so, lol! I keep a running layaway with him, where I pay him around $20 a week (usually), as soon as one pipe is paid for, another goes in.

I buy 75% or more of my pipes this way. Sometimes his prices are a little high, but I don't mind paying a few extra bucks to support him. Here lately, I've been getting some great deals on NOS pipes that he's had for years!

Peck has more than enough tobacco to open his own B&M and not have to buy more stock for quite some time ... but we all know he would anyways cuz that's how he rolls. Lol.

Well, it's not a great shot of the shop itself, but this giant Dunhill pipe sits outside during the summer and it's just a great piece! Victory Cigars has a great selection of cigars and an expanding selection of pipe tobaccos. they likely have around 100 pipes in stock at any point in time but they will gladly order in stock just for me to take a look at, if I don't buy they just send it back so I've never been unable to get something I want.

@petes03 William's is my local B&M too even though he is an hour away from me. I am up in that area often and when I can I stop by and at least buy a pouch or two. Great place to talk pipes and support a great business.

Our local is Tobacco Village in Whitehall (Allentown), Pa. The owner is Ron Kern, a very knowledgeable tobacconist and one of the world's nicest people. I'm there often enough that I actually get mail there.

@brdavidson. I love the big pipe! I wouldn't mind having one that size myself, lol!
@lurch76. Cool, maybe we can meet up sometime and smoke a bowl!
@pylorns. I love the look of that shop, especially the ship on the shelf and the whole leaf hanging from the ceiling!
@papipeguy. That place looks awesome! I wish Williams had a smoking bar like that. There is another shop just down the road from Williams called Burns Tobacconist. It's a small shop that doesn't have much in the way of pipes, but they have some nice leather recliners in there and smoking is encouraged! It's located inside The CBC (Chattanooga Billiards Club) Cleveland, which is a very nice pool haul/bar/grill. There are also three more CBC/Burns in the Chattanooga area which is not far from me.

Anyway, that shop of yours is very cool! Nice selection of tins, better than any we have in this area, and looks like a decent selection of pipes as well.

These are the 3 closest shops near my office. Although I rarely buy from any of them as NY charges 75% tax.

Barclay Rex(Unfortunately the one closest to me was closed due to the rent tripling:

This one is maybe 30 minutes from my house and in CT so if I were to buy anything from a B&M it would be this one. Butthead's in Danbury CT:

Nice ones Fitzy! I'd go to the last one you mentioned simply because of the name! Plus, I see Navy Flake and Dark Twist in the pic, that alone would get me to go!
@Dave. I'll try to get some pics from the inside here soon.

These are the two I frequent although HSB has a lot of water pipes etc as of the past twenty years. John Dengler's is my favorite; family owned and opereated since 1917. It just feels like a pipe shop.

This is the main Chattanooga branch of the CBC/Burns Tobacconist, located at the Chattanooga Billiards Club.

It's a pretty cool place, two big walk-in humidors, a decent selection of pipe tobacco, big screen TV's, and antique barber chairs to relax in! They don have a very big selection of pipes though, with maybe 25 or so in stock, and what they do have has been there for quite some time. But, the ones that they have are nice!
The CBC is where the Chattanooga Pipe Show was held last year, and where I hope it will be this year as well! They have large conference rooms, with stages for live music, a nice bar, and I'd say close to 30+ pool tables! Not to mention great food!

If you're ever in the Chattanooga area, I'd highly recommend spending some time there!

We have one here in Cleveland TN as well, but it's not nearly as big.
