What kind of tobacco do you plan on smoking in it? Is it SP who is selling the pipe and also what type of price tag is on it, i.e is it a factory price tag or is it just a made up one from the store? If the 210.00 is a legitimate retail price, that means cost is 105.00. If a store has been sitting on this pipe since 2004, I would offer him 140.00 tops as he obviously cannot get retail, he may feel something is better than nothing.

Thanks. Local Shop. Listed at $289 but 25% off. (Handwritten tag)
I'm all for the local B&Ms making some money. Just that I've seen so many Savs under a hundred.
This is a wide open bowl probably perfect for an English Mix.

I would pass on that pipe for that kind of money. I would look through SP's inventory and grab one from them. You kniow the price is right and their customer service is second to none. That pipe looks to be very overpriced, and as you said, you have seen tons of Sav's for under 100.00.
Here are a few pipes that I think will smoke your English blends just fine. You can also get 2 instead of just one.

This next pipe is the exact same Sav( except for shape, mine was an apple) that I purchased for my first pipe I ever bought. I still own it and it is a hell of a smoker. It is more money than the others I listed, but still a lot less than what you were going to pay. I hope this has been some help for you.

Here is a pic of my first pipe.

I forgot to mention that don't worry about a Savinelli taking a 6mm filter. I never use them and I smoke the pipe without it just fine. It has a nice open draw which means the pipe will smoke dry as a bone and it will practically smoke itself.

You are more than welcome, glad I could be of some help. Let us know what pipe you decide on, I will be curious to see what you end up with. I have learned over the years that some pipes go with certain blends better than others. The pipes I listed will all be good for English blends as I kept looking at the pipes dimensions before anything else.

Hi cigrmaster! I can't seem to do a quote here but I have read you 'elsewhere.' Like what you have to say and spread it around!
