good idea for daily pipe using, while not at home.

I was just thinking about it, I usually smoke at home, and I usually smoke flakes, which need rubbing out. This makes it hard to, I dunno, bring your pipe to a barbecue at a friends house. Especially if your planning on smoking outside. Fill your pipe, at home, and either wrap it in tin foil, seran wrap, or, the best, just pop a wind cap on it and take it, when your ready to smoke, just light it up

I do this all the time. When going out and I suspect I might want to light up later I fill the pipe before going out, put a wind cap on and put it in the pocket.

Get a pouch that has a pocket for your pipe. Rub out the tobacco beforehand. The one I have fits a shirt or pants pocket fine. Although I don't recommend you put a pouch with a pipe in it in your back pocket!

I've got a green utility bag that was originally full of screw drivers. Now I keep a couple of tins of bac, and my pipe in a draw string bag. Cleaners and a pipe tool, am good to go.

I keep a Dr. G, a tamper winton made, a 16 penny nail, a bic and a fistful of 1-Q in my pouch at all times. it rides in my backpack that I've carried for more than 10 years now.
Pipe cleaners in my backpack in the other pocket.

IMO that's where the Burleys really shine.... I can light my pipe in the parking lot at work and smoke all the way home with out a relight... love the old OTCs for driving and prepacking.

I'm never sure which pipe and which tobacco I'm going to want to smoke.

So I like to carry several pipes and pouches of tobacco around.

I put these in a larger pipe bag to make them easier to carry.

Then I put this bag into another bag which I use to carry stuff around...
...hmmm... wait a minute... I think I've told this story before.
