Glenn Ford's Dunhill Pipes

I was looking for books and book illustrations that I don't need on the Heritage Auctions site (a very dangerous site for your wallet), and I veered off and searched for pipes. Quite a bit on there, both current and past auctions, but I really like these two Dunhills that belonged to actor Glenn Ford. The description gives some interesting background about his pipe smoking. They sold for $478 way back in 2008.

I would give 478 today without the Glenn Ford relationship and consider them a steal today.

These could be fun at a pipe show or club, as long as you had photo copies of the provenance paperwork, in case someone got jealous and challenged their origins. Or for people who might go away with unspoken doubts otherwise. It's always good to "meet" possessions of celebrities; I don't know why.
