Not sure the best place to post this question, so let's try here.

Does anyone know whether GL Pease products used to be sold in the UK and if it stopped does anyone know why? I noticed on 2 UK websites GL Pease is mentioned but no longer list products.

It seems like the import laws of Britain have really put damper on sales of American products.

I know Gauntleys stocked a few Cornell and Diehl blends when Glynn Quelch worked there. No idea if they ever stocked any Pease blends, tho.

If you want any Pease your only options will be the secondary market (you could ask on here) or buy from a US website. I've used Smokingpipes many times and have received good service. You'll have to pay customs & excise duties, tho. This can work out quite expensive. They even tax you on the postage and Royal Mail have an extra £8 handling fee for collecting the taxes.

I’m really glad that they aren’t and that even here, people don’t realize that they are the best tobaccos ever. It’s always available and never hoarded. Thank goodness.

Just keep fighting over Germains and GH stuff.
