2013 Carving Contest Raffle & Prizes
We are pleased to announce that the raffle tickets for the 2013 Carving Contest are now on sale. The tickets are $25 a piece or 5 for $100.

2012 Winning Pipes & Case
The purpose of this contest is to raise the awareness of the quality of work that American carvers are doing. Many of the carvers who enter this contest will tell you the publicity they get from the contest has brought them a substantial increase in sales of their pipes.
We have a number of wonderful prizes in this raffle. One winner will receive a life-time subscription to the flagship publication of the pipe world, Pipes & Tobaccos magazine.
Also four other lucky raffle entrants will each win a $500 gift certificate to Iwan Ries & Company of Chicago. These certificates can be redeemed either in person or on-line.
And then of course the luckiest pipe smoker who enters the raffle will win the entire seven day set of winning pipes mounted in a wonderful case.

There are four steps to this process:

3) Tell us how many tickets you want.

4) Use PayPal or a credit card to pay for the tickets.

The other thing I didn't mention is that there is a hard limit of 400 tickets in this raffle.

The club makes no money off this raffle. The carvers and the case maker receive something like 95% of the gross proceeds of the raffle. The expenses of the show easily exceed the remainder.

I believe the plan is to notify all purchasers of the tickets of their ticket numbers. I know last year they mailed out the tickets to purchasers but it did take a lot of time. If you want your tickets I can tell them to either mail them to you or to fax/email you a copy of them.
Remember you do not have to be present to win. That is why they want good contact info from purchasers. Two of the three winners of the 7-Day Set were not present at the time of the drawing.
The pipes should be on hand no later than June 20, 2013. They will accept any pipes that are delivered in person prior to the judging begins Friday evening. Ship pipes to:
