had a cold for few days and have been medicating with nightly hot toddys. My usual toddy recipe is 1 cup strong Earl Grey, juice of one lemon, a large enough dose of honey to coat my throat and tame the lemon and 2 shots Jameson Irish Whiskey, Te Bheag Scottish Whisky or whatever sweeter whiskey or rye happens to be on hand. Brandy or Cognac also works very well. Works so much better than any cough syrup or Neocitran type product on the market. But I want some new toddy recipes. I'm sure a lot of you have tried and true toddy recipes, so give 'em up for the sick wont you?
Cheers.

I wish I knew more about tea, but at this point you can only treat the symptoms. For the sore throat, warm water and salt to gargle can help, also make sure you drink plenty of fluids and get rest.
However, sometimes when I'm feeling under the weather and need some tea, I usually go for chrysanthemum tea. I hope you get better soon, I hate being sick and try my hardest to avoid catching the cold.

Usually blackberry brandy, about a shot or so, Hot water to fill a tea cup , and a teaspoon of sugar. Dunno if it helps but after three or so you just don't care!

I don't know about toddies.
But, if you are afflicted with the cold virus.

Wear only a bathing suit.

Place your feet a tub of ice.

Sit in an open widow with a fan blowing on you until you develop Pneumonia...

That they can cure.
