Hello,

I had a pipe like this about 40 years ago which I had found in an antique store. I lost it years ago

and was just thinking about it when I suddenly see one like it on ebay. I bid on it and won auction.

On the metal lid there is a word stamped in maybe Danish or Dutch {I am not sure}. Its total length is about 18 inches. The one I had years ago was good for a cool 2 hour smoke when lit. I would appreciate any info anyone would have on this pipe {what is it called, country of origin, etc.} and also who is good for restoration to properly restore it at a reasonable price.

I am new to loading pictures on this site so I hope the link works. If not you can still see it on ebay by putting this auction number in search box on ebay [220789130537].

Here is the link to my picture of it:

Thanks for the info,

-Jeff

Looks like a Northern European pipe. They were fairly common all over. Many were German made . I have several from there and also a number of Swiss pipes that are similar. Your biggest problem will be the flex hose part. I have not been able to locate a source . Try Floyd at Norwoods he is reasonable and pretty inventive. http://www.norwoodspiperepair.com/

I have one of the ceramic type of European pipes that has a spiral reinforced hose like that. I found this site and although I have not contacted them I could not afford to repair my pipe at this time. If you get a decent price let me know how you did. Let me know anyway.
