I have a Radice Silk Cut canted billiard that has an ever so slight bend to the stem. This is a hand made pipe that was stamped 2005 and originally had the Twin Bore stem with the Radice 2 dot inlay. I broke that stem in like 2006 and sent it out from my B&M to have a new stem cut.
The gentleman that did the replacement did a satisfactory job given that he could not duplicate the twin bore or the makers fit and finish where the stem and stummel meet because he obviously didn't want to sand it in place for fear of messing up the blast. I'm not unhappy with pipe in any way and in fact it's the best burner I own but it's pretty obvious that the stem is a replacement. Does anyone know how or where I might be able to get a new, real Radice stem in the USA or would I have to ship it to Italy?
This is more about restoring the original asthetic than anything. The twin bore thing never really impressed me but that's what it originally was. And oh, btw, I misplaced the original, broken one. Yeah, I know, idiot.
