German Militia Pipe??

I really like my little Baraccini pocket pipe. I wanted to get another for back-up, but didn't want to spend the $35 that P&C wanted.
So, I found this one on eBay along with a second pipe and I got both for $30.
The other is listed as a "German Militia Pipe". I find no such creature on a Google search and the photos/description on the auction are vague.
Since I'm already saving a few bucks on the pocket pipe, I consider this a freebie, any way, Just wondering if anyone may know what I've acquired.

Edit: There is an older eBay posting from the same seller. There were no bids, but it gives additional images of the same pipe.

Hmmm. It could be of German manufacture, but I wouldn't count on it, since there's no brand given. The "militia" part is either derived from the stamp, some sort of lore attached to the pipe, or pure fiction. Without more information, I'd guess it was a working guy's pipe made by one of the larger German pipe makers. I doubt a militia had anything to do with it. But I wait to be re-educated.

I got these two in the mail today and it inspired me to search a bit more.
After playing with the search parameters a bit, I finally found this page on Cigars Int'l:

The pipe does say "Miltia" on the stummel and is German made. Seems to be a passable basket pipe.
