Gave my pipe a hair cut !

Gave my pipe a hair cut. The top of the pipe was already smooth it it had a thick coat of some kind of black paint. I took a chance and gave it a hair cut so I could at least tell if it was briar lol. Buffed it with red rogue and white diamond then put a layer of carnauba wax to top it off.
I'm not overly enthusiastic about it but at least it now has a small amount of natural grain to it. I probably should have left it alone but too late now lol!

Thanks papipeguy! It is a Hearth & Home signature pipe. Has a very handsome profile and shape. Big pipe too.

Nice One Note. I've done that, started sanding out a spot and ended up changing the whole damned pipe. Nice job!

That would make me feel bad haroldt. U don't want that do you lol? But in all honesty I feel I should have just left it alone. All good though, my pipe now has character

I looked on P&C to see what the pipe looked like originally, and I have to say I like your version better! I think the higher contrast makes the pipe look classier and more expensive. So don't feel bad, and smoke it with pride! ::
