Howdy,

These are the last few I’m willing to part with for now.

Taco budget has been sorted. Now just trying cover the costs of hiring a car while in Mexico.

All of these pipes are currently in my smoking rotation. While somewhat negotiable, I have possibly priced them on the high end. I'm not trying to screw anyone, but rather avoid seller's remorse. I am more than happy to keep these pipes and smoke the heck out of them.

Prices listed in USD, PayPal only.

All the pipes are currently in New Zealand, however at the start of November I will be in California. I can ship for free using USPS then, or if you would like them sooner you are more than welcome to pay the international postage - roughly $30usd for economy tracked/insured.

I am keeping the descriptions short and snappy. If you are interested please reach out for more pics and any extra information.

Remember to comment here to annoy JP.

1923 Gold Band Barling’s Make - $300

150mm x 45mm

Orific button, insane birdseye and lovely patina on the stummel. A bit of rim darkening and chamber slightly out of round (not as bad as it looks in pic). Band broke and was glued back in place. I chose not to solder it together as that would have ruined the makers mark.

The nomenclature has the sought after Barling’s make logo, and on the other side of the shank it says is "Maturiar" which was a specific staining that Barling developed and used in the teens and twenties. This pipe was made for Finlay Co. Ltd.

It is a smoking machine.

1920 Comoy’s Super Sports (Double Stamped COM) - $400

115mm x 45mm

I know this is a high price tag for a smaller pipe, but this is the double stamped rugby COM super sports which is on pipedia. I thought it might appeal to those who collect early Comoy’s pipes.

Nomenclature and hallmarks are crisp. Large slot button. Great figure to the grain. Shallow chatter on stem (could be removed)

1913 Comoy’s London Made - $300

125mm x 45mm

Excellent condition for a pre war pipe. Amber stem is great, also has a push tenon instead of a bone tenon. This is the earliest use of this set up on an amber stem I have seen - I know there are war era Barling’s with it and I have an Orlik from 1919 that uses it too.

1909 Strauss & Simon Cased Dog - $300

135mm x 50mm

This is the pipe which set the bar for me in understanding how antique britwood should smoke. It is an excellent burner, and in fantastic condition for its age. Made by one of the less talked about manufacturers, this pipes has RFG stamped in a heart. I have always felt this pipe was a gift for a spouse. Out of all of the pipes listed this is the one I would prefer not to sell.
