Well I've gone and bought a lovely little pipe that a) isn't a Falcon and b) isn't even English. What's happening to me?! Good condition, I've just lightly reamed it, sterilised and freshened stem and polished.

It's a lovely little French bulldog, although I think these are Rhodesian Bulldogs, no? The maker is M Fulty (?) and there is MF on the stem. St Claude region. The reverse is stamped Super Lux 845.00

Anyone know anything? Nothing on Pipepedia other than info about the history of St Claude region and it's artisan pipe makers.

Yes, this pipe was manufactured by the Fawlty Towers Pipe Co. It was a British company that was forced to subcontract out to a St. Claude pipemaker due to high labor costs in the UK. "MF" was the company's owner (Basil Fawlty) way of thumbing his nose at the Mother F*&^%$g frogs, whom he despised with a passion for having acquiesced to the Nazis. The frogs retaliated by misspelling the name of the company as "Fulty" on the pipes.

Now you know.

So, it's a cheesy pipe? :)
Could you explain the title a bit?

Nice looking pipe! You say small. How small?
British sitcom Only Fools and Horses. Del Boy always used to say really inappropriate or just plain wrong French phrases in an attempt to look sophisticated as posh people often slip in real French phrases to show their education. YouTube should have plenty of clips. 😁😁

The size is about 6" overall length, roughly similar size to a standard Falcon Coolway or something. Most bulldogs in this style I've seen are a little or a lot bigger.
