I recently got the opportunity to use the old broken fridge in our garage as my tobacco cellar. It hadn't been used or cleaned, though it doesn't look dirty.
Has anyone ever done this?
I don't smoke many tobaccos but I'd atleast

have room to buy more!

The first time I ever saw a fridge used as a cellar was the picture included on "The Professor's Pipe Tobacco Reviews"
Judging from the make/model of the fridge in that pic I'd say there's precedence for what you're considering.
Go for it!

I figure it will still be cheaperand easier than finding some one to take it away...

Standard fridges are usually too cold for long term tobacco storage. Usually 65% humidity and 65 degrees F is the generally accepted principle, and the cigar guys do it with thermoelectric wine fridges.
